Dasma.com Traffic Continues to Climb

Daily traffic to the DASMA Web site in 2006 has increased almost tenfold over the daily traffic in 2001. The numbers jumped in late 2003 when DASMA overhauled its Web site. And since the overhaul, daily traffic to the site has tripled.

Through the first nine months of 2006, the site attracted an average of 587 unique visitors each day. The third quarter was the busiest, with 56,252 total visitors, or 611 unique visits per day.

Popular Pages

An analysis of the top 20 most popular pages reveals that the site’s safety section attracts the most visitors, followed closely by magazine articles and technical documents. The safety section attracted 19 percent of visits to the top 20 pages, magazine articles/pages attracted 18 percent, and technical documents 16 percent.

The safety section includes safety tips for garage doors, garage door openers, and gate openers. The magazine section includes more than 400 archived articles from Door & Access Systems newsmagazine, dating back to 1999. The technical section offers DASMA’s 12 standards and more than 80 Technical Data Sheets.

The DASMA member section, offering information about the manufacturers that belong to DASMA, received 13 percent of all visits to the top 20 pages.
